Slate is for people who want something with presence. It's the deepest colour in our collection, a rich charcoal grey that reads dark in low light and reveals subtle tonal variation when the light hits it. The colour is dyed onto genuine British sheepskin, and because each hide takes the dye slightly differently, no two slate rugs look exactly the same.

The texture of the wool is unchanged by the eco-dyeing process. Slate sheepskins have the same dense, soft pile as our lighter colours, with the same natural warmth, breathability, and temperature-regulating properties you'd expect from real wool.
