Our white sheepskins are unbleached. he tones you see, from bright ivory through to warmer champagne — are the natural, undyed colour of the wool after tanning. No pigment, no whitening, nothing added. What arrives is the fleece as it comes, which means some hides lean cooler and brighter while others carry a warmer, creamier depth.
We carry two shades. Ivory is the lighter of the two, a clean, bright white with a soft warmth to it. Champers is richer and deeper, closer to clotted cream, with golden undertones that give it more body in a room. Both are natural to the wool, and both are sourced from British longwool sheep raised in Yorkshire.
Because the wool is unbleached, it keeps everything it's meant to have; lanolin, breathability, temperature regulation, and its natural resistance to dust mites. Nothing is stripped out or altered in the process.
Where white sheepskin works best
Ivory and champers are the colours people reach for when they want a room to feel lighter and more open. They reflect light well, which makes them a good fit for south-facing living rooms, pale bedrooms, and spaces where you want to lift the mood without adding clutter.
They also create strong contrast against darker furniture and flooring. An ivory sheepskin on a dark oak bench or draped across a leather armchair creates a clean, deliberate look. Champers does the same job with a little more warmth, it sits particularly well against walnut, tan leather, and richer wood tones where a bright white might feel stark.
Worth knowing: white sheepskins will show marks more easily than our darker colours. For chairs, sofas, bed ends, and rooms that don't see heavy traffic, they're hard to beat. If the rug is going somewhere busier or outdoors regularly, our stone or grey shades might be more forgiving.
