Warmer than white, softer than gold. A richer take on a classic sheepskin.

Champers sits between ivory and stone in our range; a warm, creamy tone with subtle golden undertones that give it more depth than a plain white sheepskin. If ivory is fresh linen, champers is raw silk.

At 95cm x 60cm with a deep 6cm pile, this single sheepskin fits comfortably over a dining chair, a desk seat, or the arm of a sofa. The warm cream tone does its best work against darker surroundings; a leather Chesterfield, a walnut bench, a cast iron garden chair, where it softens the look without washing it out. In lighter rooms, it adds warmth and texture without standing out too sharply.

The wool comes from British longwool sheep raised in Yorkshire. Dense, soft, and naturally lustrous, with a pile deep enough to feel the moment you sit down. The champagne tone is natural to the fleece, so you'll see gentle variation across the hide, slightly lighter in some areas, a touch warmer in others.

Champers works well in rooms with warm light and natural materials — wood, linen, stone, leather. It's less stark than ivory, which makes it forgiving in spaces where a bright white might feel out of place. Against darker furniture and deeper wall colours, it glows without competing.

Use it indoors year-round or take it outside for garden seating. Sheepskin breathes and insulates, so it stays comfortable in warm weather and keeps you warm when the temperature drops. It handles light rain and dries quickly with a shake.

Expect slight variations in size, shape, and tone — that's the nature of a real hide, and part of what makes it yours. Learn more about our natural variations.

The Luxury of Champers British Sheepskin

A Colour That Settles In
White sheepskins can look sharp in a room. Champers does the opposite, it blends. The warm cream tone picks up the light in a room rather than reflecting it, which makes it feel like a natural part of the space from the first day. It ages well too. Where bright whites can show every mark, the warmer base of champers is more forgiving with everyday use, developing a gentle patina that adds to its character over time.

Soft Seat, Warm Surface
The 6cm wool pile makes a real difference on a hard chair. Wooden stools, metal dining chairs, and leather seats all feel warmer and more comfortable immediately. Wool insulates naturally, so the surface feels warm from the moment you sit down — no waiting for it to adjust. It breathes too, so there's no overheating on warmer days. For anyone who spends time at a kitchen island or desk, it's a small change that you notice every time you sit.

Responsibly Sourced, Built to Keep
Our sheepskins are a byproduct of the meat industry. These hides are selected, prepared, and turned into something designed to last years rather than going to waste. The wool is biodegradable, naturally hypoallergenic, and resistant to dust mites. It's a practical choice for your home and a responsible one. Our care guide covers everything you need to keep it looking its best.

Made for Everyday Use
Longwool fleece is resilient. It handles being pulled on and off furniture, sat on for hours, and taken outside for summer evenings. The dense fibres spring back after compression, and light spills or rain dry out quickly with a shake. This is a rug you use daily without giving it a second thought.
